In-Mold Decorating (IMD) is the process of bonding a compatible decorative component to a plastic part during the injection molding process. The substrate material is commonly a thin label or foil with desired printing and/or surface finish. The IMD process yields a chemical bond between substrate material and plastic molded component. Examples of IMD are; decorative phone cases, touch screen, key pads, or any application where you need superior adhesion.

Imperial Plastics specializes in automated IMD. Our experience with robotic loading of your graphics and selection of raw material for optimum adhesion assures you a cost effective, superior product.
